Scientist in Pharmacology

Full Time

We are seeking a Scientist to join us to drive translational projects enabling rodent preclinical efficacy studies on vascular disease models. The Scientist will conduct studies independently or in collaboration with other scientists to monitor in vivo efficacy for therapeutic candidate molecules and to analyze ex vivo tissue samples. Compensation and title commensurate with experience.


Responsibilities:

  • Design and execution of studies in mouse aneurysm models

  • Perform different routes of injections including IV, SC or IC

  • Isolate tissues including organs and blood vessels

  • Perform tissue imaging and analyze data

  • Document experiments and write study reports


Required Skills/Experience:

  • A Ph.D. degree in biological sciences, pharmacology, veterinary sciences or equivalent

  • Willingness to learn and perform in vitro and in vivo studies

  • Previous experience with mouse models is preferred, but not required

  • Ability to independently investigate and propose new methods and applications

Scientist in Biology

Full Time

We are seeking a Scientist who will conduct studies independently or in collaboration with other scientists to support a drug delivery platform and characterize biochemical properties for therapeutic candidate molecules. Compensation and title commensurate with experience.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist tissue sampling process and analyze the samples.

  • Design and execute biochemical assays (ELISA, WB, protein, cell quantitation)

  • Fluorescent labeling of proteins and antibodies 

  • Prepare for test formulation

  • Perform cellular and molecular characterization of specimens

  • Document experiments and write study reports


Required Skills/Experience:

  • A PhD degree in biological sciences, pharmacology or equivalent

  • A quick learner for new areas

This role is a key member of the BD team and will contribute to the corporate activities related to partnering, collaboration and business strategies to maximize the value of our portfolio. The candidate will interact with senior management and R&D team leaders to align the BD direction and drive the growth of the company and progress of the pipeline.  


Responsibilities: 

  • Serve as a global business representative and lead partnership opportunities with pharma companies

  • Lead licensing activities for both in- & out-license and manage the deals

  • Lead BD efforts in the due diligence, evaluation and identification

Postdoctoral Staff

Full Time

We are seeking an industry postdoc to study the mechanism of action for our novel therapeutic antibody. The project is to support a translational project focusing on smooth muscle cells and endothelial cells expanding to rodent preclinical efficacy studies vascular aneurysm models. The candidate will conduct studies independently or in collaboration with other scientists to monitor in vitro and ex vivo tissue analyses.


Responsibilities: 

  • Design and execution of cell-based biochemical analyses to address MoA

  • Apply and confirm the discoveries from cell studies to the mouse model(s) and ex vivo analysis 

  • Histological analysis of tissues including organs and blood vessels

  • Summarize study reports and write a manuscript


Required Skills/Experience:   

  • PhD in biological sciences or any equivalent credentials

  • Experience in angiogenesis, cytokine, efferocytosis or vascular biology related   

  • Willing to learn standard vascular assessment techniques (vascular plaque analysis, macrophage efferocytosis, vascular leakiness in animal models)

In Vivo Scientist

Full Time

We are seeking a scientist to drive translational projects enabling rodent preclinical efficacy studies on ocular gene therapy and/or vascular aneurysm models. The candidate will conduct studies independently or in collaboration with other scientists focused on eyedrop gene delivery to monitor in vivo efficacy and ex vivo tissue analyses.


Responsibilities: 

  • Design and execution of gene therapy studies in mouse and rat models of laser-induced CNV

  • Develop mouse aneurysm model(s) and ex vivo analysis as a secondary responsibility

  • Perform different routes of injections including IV, SC, IC, IVT injections

  • Isolate tissues including organs, eyes, retina and blood vessels

  • Perform cellular and molecular characterization of specimens  

  • Write a new animal study protocol for IACUC review

  • Document experiments and write study reports



Required Skills/Experience:   

  • Ph.D. degree in biological sciences, pharmacology, veterinary sciences or equivalent with 2-3 years postdoc in academia or industry with experience in animal studies  

  • Expertise in ophthalmological studies and ocular gene therapy (AAV, siRNA, DNA/RNA) 

  • Previous experience with aortic vascular aneurysm is a plus: Experience with standard vascular assessment techniques (vascular plaque analysis, macrophage efferocytosis, vascular leakiness in animal models) 

  • Mouse injections and tissue processing experience  

  • Ability to independently investigate and propose new methods and applications 

  • Experience or working knowledge of Micron OCT imaging is a plus
